Ellen Nixon
Ellen began her career with The Westover Group in January of 1999. Her extensive background in all phases of accounting, specializing in property management, have made
her a great asset to The Westover Group Management, Inc. In 1994 Ellen joined Woodmont Corporation Property Management and Development. She was responsible for all phases of accounting including financial statements, cash flow reports, and account reconciliation’s and sales tax reports for thirty four properties. She was the liaison between Woodmont Property Management third party owners and asset managers.
Her real estate career began in 1987 working for a large commercial developer and private capital investment firm. Her responsibilities included project management, lease administration and tenant improvements. Her accounting functions were maintenance of the general ledger and financial statements for two corporations, one partnership and two profit sharing trusts, quarterly tax reports, year end review with CPA’s, adjusting journal entries, construction costs and draws, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and tax deposits.
Ellen’s accomplishments include developing accounting standardization and processes, optimizing the accounting technology, and controlling expenses for the Company which directly contributed to improved profitability.
